Leadership Behaviors and Employee Engagement in the Hospitality Industry in Myanmar

This research investigates leadership behaviors, hotel employee engagement and the impact of behaviors on in strongly collectivist country, Myanmar. Quantitative method was applied. Questionnaires were distributed to employees Mandalay, Myanmar, using non-probability convenience sampling method. Descriptive statistics multiple regression used measure behavior, behavior engagement. The results show that managers Myanmar have exercised informing, coaching, supporting team, leading by example, showing effective performance displaying integrity behaviors. But their are only somewhat emotionally, physically, cognitively engaged. also integrity, teams positive while participative decision making has negative findings provide both theoretical practical implications which useful for leaders cultured countries. highlight fact should display practice coaching more a culture as it can make Employers support exercise these daily basis redesigning evaluation programs leaders. study is one first investigate relationship between hospitality industry. will be specially hotels reduce risk turnover keep
